Terrarium

I 1st come across terrarium during a visit to the ‘World Orchid Conference’. Terrarium i would described as an minituare indoor garden typically housed in a glass container.

Recently, i attended a terrarium workshop which my friend has registered and i am the +1 guest.

Terrarium basically consists of 4 layers. Drainage layer, Charcoal Layer, Soil Layer and Mulch Layer.

Drainage layer consists of fine gravels that allow excess water to be collected.

Charcoal layer purpose is to absorb odour and toxic gases while soil is for plant potting.

Finally after plotting the plant, clean the glass as add the decorative mulch.

And there you are, my 1st ever terrarium.
